About Us

Landford Trees was established in 1983 on the northern edge of the New Forest where we have over 12 ha of trees with over 650 different varieties, 80% or which are produced on the nursery by our dedicated team.

Fruit trees

We grow a wide range of varieties which will produce trees that will grow to approx 4m/+ using the following rootstocks:

Apples (MM106), cherries (Colt), damsons (St Julian A), medlars (Crataegus), pears (Quince A), plums (St Julian A) and quince (Quince C)

Hedging

We sell a broad range of hedging in different sizes, whether you want an evergreen hedge or a more natural looking wildlife-friendly hedge we have something to fit your needs

Native trees

Our native trees are purchased by us as 60/90cm whips and grown on in the nursery to various sizes, we have good stock of Acers, birch, wild cherry, hornbeam, oak etc. All of these can be supplied as either bare root or rootballed stock.

Ornamental trees

The bulk of our trees are produced on our own land by a dedicated team of staff either by budding, cuttings or grafting, they are sold at between three and six years old and can be purchased as either bare root or root-balled stock through the dormant period.

We also grow 4-500 potted trees ranging from 35 to 100L, these are available throughout the year.

Pleached trees

We produce a range of pleached trees on 1.2, 1.5 and 1.8m stems normally with 5 tiers 30cms apart with a spread of c. 1.8m.
