Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee daily programmes of work for the garden team and volunteers
- Undertake a wide range of horticultural tasks (turf care, propagation, border maintenance, cut flowers, glasshouse management, planting)
- Promote sustainable gardening and biodiversity practices
- Support visitor engagement through open days, tours, and educational activities
- Deputise for the Head Gardener and contribute to garden development projects
About You:
- Experienced in a wide range of practical and ornamental horticulture, ideally within historic or charitable garden settings
- Confident supervising staff and volunteers, with strong organisational and communication skills
- Knowledgeable in sustainable and ecological horticultural practices
- Able to work flexibly, including some weekends for open days/events
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
