Join our team! We are looking for an experienced horticultural professional with
excellent plant knowledge to lead our Garden Landscapes Team. As one of three
team leaders reporting to the Head of Horticulture, you will be at the forefront of
managing and developing our landscapes, including our scientifically and historically
significant tree collection, woodland, stream and bog garden, meadow areas, and
lawns. You will also oversee machinery, composting facilities, and hard landscaping,
ensuring that every corner of the Garden is maintained to the highest standard while
supporting our core goals of research, learning, and conservation.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will guide an experienced team of staff,
trainees and volunteers, while assisting with practical work, project delivery, and
plant records management. You will help shape horticultural and arboricultural
policy, oversee budgets, and plan for the Garden’s future, all while working closely
with colleagues across the organisation. If you are driven, organised, and excited by
the chance to make a lasting impact on one of the country’s most important living
collections, we would love to hear from you!
Please see here for Further Particulars giving a full oversight of our requirements
and how to apply online. Closing date: 12 October 2025.
