Exeter College and Jesus College in Central Oxford are seeking to appoint a Head Gardener who will be responsible for planning and implementing an annual programme of preparation and maintenance of the gardens and associated college premises at the two colleges.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a unique environment, with a mix of gardens which are open to public view and others which are private or used for functions. You will work across a number of different college-owned sites, and will be responsible for the propagation and rearing of plants, and for planting, weeding, pruning and daily care. In addition, you will prepare a termly report for the Gardens Committee, make proposals for improvements, and undertake a rolling programme of tree planting.
