We’re now looking for a passionate and skilled Gardener to join our team at Osborne House. In this full-time, permanent role based on the stunning Isle of Wight, you’ll help care for one of the most prestigious historic gardens in the country — bringing to life the horticultural legacy of Queen Victoria’s beloved seaside retreat and delighting over 250,000 visitors each year with vibrant, beautifully maintained landscapes.
As a Gardener, you will:
- Provide efficient, high-quality, skilled maintenance for our gardens
- Ensure the best possible visitor experience
- Develop and broaden your horticultural knowledge and skills
- Maintain flowers, shrubs, walled gardens, woodland gardens and parks
- Conduct non-specialist propagation and plant production

About You
To join us as a Gardener, you will need:
- Basic craft gardener skills and horticultural knowledge
- Familiarity with the cultivation of a broad range of trees, shrubs, bulbs, glasshouse, annual and herbaceous plants and their associated craft skills
- An NVQ Level 2 in amenity horticulture or equivalent
