The Job:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working candidate for this exciting and varied role and expectations are high. Working closely with our clients, contractors and local community groups, you will be responsible for the provision and management of parks, open spaces, play and sports areas. You will be required to monitor and approve the quality of works undertaken by external contractors working on behalf of the Council. Duties will also include designing and developing floral displays and planting schemes and assisting with the undertaking of adoptions of landscaped areas on new developments on behalf of the Council.
The Person:
The successful candidate will have a HND qualification or above in either horticulture or landscape management and have experience of both landscape management and contract management. Experience of sports turf management and land adoption processes would be an advantage. You will be expected to have a sound knowledge of contract and procurement procedures and possess good communication and IT skills. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
