Skilled Gardener Required-

We have an exciting position for a skilled Gardener working for a private family estate in Oxfordshire near Burford.

Working as part of an extensive garden team to maintain and help develop a newly planted garden to a very high standard. The impressive gardens consist of formal planted areas, extensive herbaceous borders, working kitchen garden, glasshouse and cut flower production areas.

The successful applicant will need to be able to, as part of their duties, take responsibility for the cutting garden to produce seasonal flowers for house arrangements. This is a new area which will let the applicant be hands on with design ideas and implementation.  Working in conjunction with our florist the successful applicant must also be able to take on some flower arranging to a high standard. Other duties include managing and maintaining the guest gardens.

The successful applicant should have the following

• Experience working in professional garden settings Comprehensive plant Knowledge Minimum level 2 Hort Qualifications Ability to work as a team and working on their own Able to work effectively and in an organised way Ability to work safely adhering to our Health and safety practices Previous floral and cut flower management Self-motivated with an eye for a detail

Working hours Mon-Fri 8.00-16.30

Weekend rota to include one weekend every 6 weeks

Competitive salary £32,000-£35,000
