Skilled full time Gardener wanted for a private family estate in Derbyshire.

To work as part of a team helping to maintain and develop an impressive garden which includes herbaceous borders, formal areas, hedging, arboretum and a small kitchen garden and greenhouse.

To work alongside other members of the team in the maintenance of the gardens and grounds carrying out all seasonal maintenance tasks.

A suitable applicant should have:

• Comprehensive plant knowledge
• A keen interest in gardens, familiarity with most gardening practices together with the use and maintenance of garden machinery.
• Proven practical experience and a suitable horticultural qualification in gardens maintenance such as NVQ Level 2, RHS Level 2 as a minimum.
• Good organisational skills, good understanding of Health and Safety issues.
• Good work ethic – trustworthy, honest, reliable punctual, hardworking.
• Well motivated with an eye for detail and a desire to achieve high standards.
• A willingness to work alongside and support other staff is essential.
• Live within travelling distance of Ashbourne.

Working hours will typically be Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30 pm.

33 days holiday per annum (including Statutory Holidays).
