Due to expediential growth in the business, we have an exciting opportunity and are recruiting for a Sole gardener for their prestigious site in Paddington
Job Purpose
As a Sole Gardener, you will be working ‘hands-on to provide a top-class horticultural environment for our clients. Your role will be to ensure that the requirements of the client and the specification are fully met for the enjoyment, recreation and safety of the site, employees and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- To be conversant with the needs of the client’s contractual terms and to attend site meetings etc in the absence of the contract manager.
- To be practically conversant with the use, general cleaning, and basic maintenance of the locally used equipment.
- Ensure hand/power tools and grounds maintenance equipment, machinery and vehicles for your site are in good working order and secure, that routine maintenance is carried out and refer major mechanical problems to your contract manager or the workshop.
- To liaise with the client in a professional manner handling issues and requests efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.
- Proactively report incidents, suggestions, or concerns regarding the site/clients,to your line manager.
Skills and experiences:
- Passionate about the environment with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent Horticultural and plant knowledge
- Self-motivated with the ability to confidently work independently.
- Spraying Certificates – PA1, PA2 and PA6, IOSH Managing Safely qualification preferable, but not essential.
- Experience with ride on grass-cutting equipment and tractor driving is preferable but not essential.
- Flexible in approach to work and willing to work outside in all weathers.
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
