Assistant Gardener wanted for private estate in Surrey

A full-time Assistant Gardener is required for maintaining and enhancing formal gardens and grounds to an exceptionally high standard.

The role will involve maintaining all areas of the gardens and wider estate, including fine lawns, hedge cutting, strimming, pesticide application, border maintenance, ornamental plantings and maintenance of the informal areas of the Estate to a high horticultural standard.

Applicants should be able to work both unsupervised and as a team member. We are looking for someone who wants to learn and progress in a great working environment. 

Safe and proficient use of the usual grounds maintenance equipment and machinery is expected and must be able to drive as we are in a remote location. Training both in house and college based can be made available to the right candidate. 

Salary is £27,000 plus discretionary bonus according to qualifications and experience.
